Lightfoot Days Pop-Up Festival - November 3-5 – Orillia

Please join us, on the weekend of November 3-5, to celebrate the music and the legacy of Orillia's favourite son Gordon Lightfoot.

Canada's foremost Lightfoot tribute band, 'Classic Lightfoot Live', will kick off the festivities with a 7:30 performance at St. Paul's Centre on Friday evening. Tickets are now on sale through the Orillia Opera House, for only $45 (plus $1.13, if purchased online).

Mayor Don McIsaac will proclaim Saturday as 'Gordon Lightfoot Day', in front of the OOH at 11:00 am; other tribute artists will be performing at local venues throughout the weekend; a bus tour, featuring significant sites in Gordon's life, is being planned; never-before-seen interviews of Gordon will be shown at St. Paul's on Saturday; a cake-cutting ceremony, with members of Gordon's family invited, is scheduled for Sunday at Mariposa Market; and a Worship Service will take place at St. Paul's---the church where 'it all began', according to Gordon. Limited edition souvenir buttons also will be available, for only $5.
